Strategy
Strong strategies for more clarity and better decisions.
Every successful project starts with a careful, user-oriented strategy. This ensures that all actors share the vision and assessment of the project. We have various methods at our disposal for this purpose.
Core Strategy
Core Strategy
Depending on the scope of the project, the strategic foundation is developed in one or two workshops. The workshops deal with all dimensions of strategic importance, such as user groups and their needs, success criteria from an internal perspective or risk assessments.
Duration: 1-2 sessions of about 3 hours.
Deliverables:
Summary of all activities, serves as a basis for further workshops.
Task analysis
Task analysis
What tasks should users be able to perform? We'll compile the relevant activities to address this central issue, regardless of their feasibility and the time and effort involved. The resulting compilation allows an estimation of the project scope and serves as a basis for prioritizing the effort - always with the user at the center.
Duration: 1-2 sessions of about 3 hours.
Deliverables:
A prioritized list of User-Stories, depending on type of task analysis: business value assessment or MVP proposal.
Design Studio
Design Studio
Design Studio is a technique to develop ideas for interfaces in collaboration with stakeholders. The goal is to visualize expectations and ideas in sketch form. This clarifies a lot and also creates a basis for prototyping. Design Studio is very efficient because a large number of ideas and suggestions can be recorded in a very short time.
Duration: about 3 hours.
Deliverables:
Original sketches and a document with consolidated concept inputs.
Contextual inquiry
Contextual inquiry
What tasks do your users have to perform? How have they done these so far? These questions can often only be answered by direct contact. Interviews and direct observation provide valuable insights. Especially in fields with high specialization, the findings of user observation are indispensable in order to acquire the necessary domain knowledge.
Duration: 1 to 3 days
Deliverables:
Interview and observation protocols, research report, list of user stories.
Information Architecture
Information Architecture
Information is only useful if it is found. A robust information architecture ensures that information is organized according to user expectations. We'll develop logical and user-friendly navigation and information structures in collaboration with users doing activities such as
Card sorting and
Tree testing.
Duration: 1 bis 5 Tage
Deliverables:
Navigation structure, content hierarchy
Expert-Reviews
Expert-Reviews
Expert reviews examine the usability and user experience of existing projects using established principles of user guidance. They provide a fresh, unbiased view and help to efficiently improve products. The insights gained can feed directly into the development or form the basis for a new direction.
Duration: from 3 hours to 2 days
Deliverables:
List with suggestions for improvements, Usability Report.
